Professional associations have made a significant mark in the practice, ongoing development and recognition of numerous professions.

Professional associations have increasingly been developing strong standards of ethics while seeking to develop the capabilities and capacity of members – using the strength of member numbers and commitment to influence meaningful change, shared educational and enhanced practices to directly contribute to the individual reputation of the professi0n and members.

For example, the Australian Sales & Marketing Institute – known best as the Sales & Marketing Institute – has played a significant role in advancing the recognition and standing of professional sales over the years.  The Institute has, in the past, conducted special awards aimed at influencing the notion that a ‘great salesperson makes his customer companies more successful’.

Our management-based members have contributed to an array of conferences in Australia and overseas – learning from and adding to sales practice in Australia and other countries. Our members have been building growing networks in sharing vital information and shared thinking on sales and sales practice. The Institute also played a role making various submissions to government bodies, including pushing for a Spam Act 2003 and provided exchanges/input to companies where the community have expressed concern about sales practices.

We encourage individuals to play a role in supporting the sales voice in the community – directly – by joining.

Membership has no cost and the Institute conducts a number of educational seminars, exchanges and occasional luncheons

FELLOW membership cost is $99-00 p.a.

Applicable largely to Grocery sphere – cost is $1,100-00 (inc GST) per annum enabling a member to attend ALL events (or nominate a colleague to attend in their place). If the membership applies to Sydney only OR Melbourne only specifically, the cost is $770-00
