Graeme Orr CEO
Graeme was appointed CEO in 1994 following significant experience in business practice – mostly as a consultant in benchmarking development, corporate culture development and practise, and effective implementation.
He wrote and marketed the Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) with the CPA Society (then Australian Society of Accountants) 1982-83.
He also developed a Charter for member Credit Unions of the Australian Credit Union Society in 1984; co-authored the Professional Development Program (PDP) for the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) followed by developing the Certified Practising Marketer (CPM) while (contracted) Chief Executive with Australian Marketing Institute (1990-94).
Again as a consultant, he led the restructure of the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association in 1994, the Australian Arbitrators Association 1995 – as the Secretary General of the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration. He most recently developed separate national management benchmarks for the Australian Sales & Marketing Institute.
Graeme, a longstanding international freelance journalist(published in 41 countries & 13 languages in around 1,100 newspapers and magazines), actor, former radio newsreader and cricketer, is engaged in regular voice-over and promotional radio broadcasting with Radio Zhejiang (Hangzhou) China since 2004 – to 40 million listeners across 27 channels.

HONORARY INVOLVEMENT
Graeme has a long association of involvement in an honorary capacity with community and charitable organisations; including President of United Nations Association of Australia (1986-91), National President of Save the Children Fund Australia (1989-90) and State Chairman of Australian Freedom from Hunger Campaign (1996-99). Graeme was a board member of UNICEF (1986-92), Board member of Victorian Human Rights Committee, an honorary advisor to Amnesty International and the Victorian Association of Citizens Advice Bureaus. Graeme’s most pleasing role was as honorary consultant to the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) in the Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet 1987-96. Among other activity with OMA, he conducted ‘harmony’ sessions with journalists across Australia. Graeme was a board member with the Metropolitan Ambulance Board (1989-91) and Family Planning Victoria (1998-2004)
Graeme has been the recipient of numerous awards; including the Geneve Prize 1986 (from the city of Geneva, Switzerland) for work assisting children and refugees, a finalist in the bicentenary 1988 Australian of the Year, awarded an Australian Achiever Award 1988 (presented by Prime Minister Bob Hawke at Kirribilli House, Sydney) and named Melburnian of the Year 1989 by the City of Melbourne – for services to journalism, refugees and children.
He played District Cricket with Footscray & Richmond, for his State, an Australian 2nd XI – and a season in English County Cricket (‘GoGlos’)
